The term "night nanny" is simply a term for a night time babysitter. A night nanny is present to feed your baby, change diapers and soothe your baby at night so you can sleep. Night nanny is a general term that can have different meanings.
To put it simply, we are not just night nannies. We are not babysitting at night. Our goal is to have your baby independently sleeping and leave you with executable strategies to continue to meet those goals. The way we respond to your baby is with purpose and intention - to allow them to practice developmentally appropriate independent sleep. We do not practice or condone "cry it out", ever. We provide EXPERT newborn care, analyze your babies activities and give feedback to you so that your baby's entire care team is providing consistent, goal-oriented and collaborative care. Instead of getting stuck in the endless cycle of overnight feeding, waking and unsustainable sleep associations with other providers, we'll support you and teach you everything you need to know to feel confident that rested nights are an achievable goal. We would love to set up a consult with you and explain our methods and answer any questions you may have about the work we do!
